He notes with regret what Edwards says about himself and is glad it is not the end. Joseph Emminger and Werner Amiet were sorry to hear the news when he read Edwards' letter to them. He received Edwards' letter and summons served on Edwards and the University. By this time Edwards has been served with another summons filed by Helena Behnke and Christian Rathsam. He encloses a general denial for Edwards to sign, to protect his interests. He can promise nothing regarding the jewelry, but will take it up with the Court if he is appointed executor. He received the letter in which Edwards enclosed a letter from John F. O'Hara who sought to retain his father to represent Edwards' interests in the will of George Rhodius. Edwards has no need to do this; it would only shave his share of the legacy. He will do all in his power to uphold the will, and he doen't consider the woman a very important factor; he has good reasons. He return's O'Hara's letter. Edwards will find a full copy of the will in the clippings he already sent.

Cleary's article "A Home for Priests in France" has appeared in the Irish Ecclesiastical Record bearing a close resemblance to his paper entitled "To the Pyrenees in Mid-Winter", which was published in the Ave Maria. The manuscript was sent to the Record but after waiting a year for its publication, Cleary revised it and sent it to Hudson for the Ave Maria.
