Karl-Werner Gümpel Papers
The collection contains paper files from the later decades of Gümpel's career, including correspondence (notably, correspondence with Michel Huglo), transcriptions of medieval treatises, as well as notes, notebooks and index cards on various manuscripts. Near the end of his life, Gümpel was working on an edition of the anonymous 12-13th century treatise Diologus de musica, and there are many items related to this work in progress.

This collection consists of twentieth-century ephemera relating to Latinx culture. Significant topics represented in the ephemera include migrant laborers, César Chávez, and grape boycotts; Mexican-American socio-economic conditions, education, civil rights, and employment; illegal immigration; feminism; and Latin-American and Mexican culture, including art, history, politics, and literature. Materials include pamphlets, reports, dissertations, journal articles, magazines, and newspapers.
Lawrence Shields Letters
More than 300 personal letters written by Dr. Lawrence Shields (1872-1946), mostly as a member of the American expatriate community in Mexico City, 1898 to 1902. The letters are directed to Shields's future wife, Clara Kinney, of Xenia, Ohio.

There are many letters to Mooney from French soldiers and others victimized by the war, as well as a substantial correspondence with nephew Charles E. Bayly, Jr., an ambulance driver with the American Field Service who subsequently served as sous-lieutenant in the French army.
