The New York Freeman's Journal gave full credit to the Ave Maria and to Starr for her art notes. Starr hopes that Hudson received his share of the copies of "Pilgrims and Shrines". When Starr sees the short notices that sometimes come out on books she wonders how authors have courage to publish at all.
