Starr, Eliza Allen, Chicago, Illinois, to Richard Henry F.! Clarke, New York, New York, 1884 November 5
Scope and Contents
Clarke has shown marvelous patience concerning Starr's sketch of Bishop John McMullen . After reading the short sketch she wrote for the Catholic Family Annual, Starr was quite sure of what she thought but could not put it into words for Clarke. She waited until she could do so. She had begun the sketch and now she can complete it. She thanks Clarke for treating her so well. She cannot write unless the subject is before her and all of it in hand. She is giving two art lectures a week and is busy. But she considers the writing of this sketch a privilege. Some night the inspiration will come to her to finish the sketch. P.S. Starr asks if she spells his name correctly. :: I-2-n A.L.S. 3pp. 12mo.
