Scope and Contents She received Hudson's letter. Hudson's kind offer of assistance will probably be used although she definitely does not like the subscription method of raising money. She is sorry that she omitted Father Frederick Faber's priestly title in her list of authors. She does not like the way the word catholicity has usurped the meaning of the word Catholicism. She is fully aware of the fact that many literary critics consider the writings of her and her sister frivolous but she defends her...

Ingersoll. Members of that committee of the Women's Club used to call where Howe boarded. The leader is about forty years old, showy in general appearance and well known in offices downtown. She...

Howe requests Hudson send copies of the Ave Maria containing the review of "Robert Elsmere" to Doctor H. Green of Chesterton. She has heard that Father Stanislaus Fitte, C.S.C. received the impression from some Chicago clergy that her mother had profitably disposed of her property and is enjoying a liberal fortune. Scope and Contents She encloses a letter written to her by Father Henri Delbaere which because of its outstanding quality she wants returned so that she may keep it as a life-long treasure. She wishes to correct an impression given by the letter.
