Howe, Frances, R., Chesterton, Indiana, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1882 September 7
Item — Box: CHUD 4
Identifier: CHUD X-2-j
Scope and Contents
Howe encloses a check for the New Orleans Carmelites. It is strange that the Sisters of St. Mary's of the Woods had trouble getting their copies of "Record of a Suffering Soul". Howe wrote to the Chicago people about it but got no reply. Howe intended to give them a chance to repair past injustice, but they did not take it. Father Burke has taken fifty copies, and Mother Catherine Feehan has also ordered fifty copies. General Jonathan Scammon visited Howe. :: X-2-j A.L.S. 4pp. 8vo.
