Manogue has no recollection of the letter referred to. No doubt it is among his letters in Virginia City, Nevada, where he lived for 22 years. On account of travelling considerably through the northern portions of the diocese many letters were misplaced. She was pleased to hear that Hudson is going to publish the article, "Comtesse Rostopchine". This woman was worthy of being Monsignor Louis Gaston de Segur's grandmother.
