She sees so little of Father Ernest Van Dyke that she had not heard of Hudson's illness. Francis Van Dyke received the medal and she thanks Hudson for it. Mrs. Van Dyke wishes Fannie to tell Hudson to "get well sure". Marie says to tell him that she can read both in French and English. Park ? is ashamed he has never written.
