Sister thanks Hudson for copies of "Mad Penitent of Todi" and asks him to thank Anna Hanson Dorsey for the souvenirs she sent. Father Matthew Russell, S.J., is critical of "Mad Penitent of Todi" in his journal. In Sister's opinion no Irish or English Catholic periodical equals the Ave Maria. Sister received the copies of "The Mad Penitent of Todi". She sends Hudson a short sketch. Sister requests permission to translate Father John Zahm 's article "What the Church Has Done For Science" for Il Rosario, an Italian publication. Sister sends the names of four new subscribers together with a Christmas story. Within a few days Hudson should receive a box of Agnus Deis and Sacred Heart scapulars.
