It would give him great pleasure to comply with Edwards' request but he cannot do so. To satisfy a few of the Cardinal's John McCloskey friends he had a piece mould of the bust made. He gave away one to his cousin Father Daniel J. Sheehy, of Brooklyn. In justice to the Cardinal's portrait he has concluded to furnish only a finished work; he could not furnish a bust for less than $50. :: XI-1-c A.L.S. 2pp. 12mo.
