He has always had an admiration for anything that came from the pen of Christian Reid and he thinks her story "His Victory" enchances her reputation. A copy of his "Flashes of Fancy" and "Life As We Live It" are being sent to Hudson and Byrn would appreciate any help Hudson can give to ward making him better known. Stoddard visited some friends in New York, who promised him all kind of aid. He saw most of the sloop yachts in the race, Theodore Vail gave each guest a souvenir. The grand parade was reviewed by the President. Then they all boarded the yacht and joined the Regatta on Long Island Sound.
