Yesterday Father Henry Riordan brought Blanc's note informing Mullon of the changes. They are perfectly satisfactory to Mullon. The disedification arising from the non-intercourse of Fathers Cyril Delecroix and Flanigan Father John Flanagan will be at an end. There will be no danger of further scandal at St. Teresa under Flanigan. Mullon believes that his sight is gradually returning. To say nothing of the effect of the withdrawal of a large and influential portion of the congregation by the Jesuits and by St. Teresa's Church, and soon by the church of Father Moynihan . Father Cyril Delacroix is enticing persons to take pews in the schoolhouse chapel. He gives it all the character of a parochial church. The Aikens, the Crones, and Rushes, with 30 to 50 others, are led off in this way....

Scope and Contents Blanc has been grossly deceived by the friends of Mary Kelly, once the wife of Humphry Finch . She died drunk, was known as a public drunkard. When Finch died, his brother Michael Finch, a decent, sober man, paid for the lot. The consequence is subversion of all church requirement by such violations of regulations. He consulted Mr. Rosilius in relation to the ground rents due by persons who decline paying.
