People tell him that he has talent and advise him to take up painting. He now sees that he learned more at Notre Dame than all the rest of his schooling.

O'Meara delayed writing to Hudson until she finished writing the biography of the Cure d' Ars, which she sends to Hudson. A friend startled her by remarking that Monsignor de Segur told him that the Cure d' Ars, St. John Baptist Vianney, could never be canonized because he had uttered some heretical doctrine. O'Meara sent the sketch of the "Blind Bishop". Father Joseph DamienDeVeuster is well known throughout England. Mr. Hugh Chapman, an Anglican priest whom O'Meara has been attempting to trap into the fold, has taken up the subject of DeVeuster with zeal. Her return voyage to Europe was terrible.
