She received pictures of the grave yard where William Montrose Graham is buried but the head stones are not marked. She has persuaded Comdg. Graham to send Montrose's brother to the Catholic school College of St. Laurent in Montreal under Father Augustin Louage C.S.C. . Montrose would not go to a protestant church but Lawrence Graham was afraid of his father. She will try to get from her nephew George Meade what Edwards desires. She will try to obtain some relics of her brother from the War Department. She is sorry to say that the brothers and sisters of the dear boy William Montrose Graham who died at Notre Dame are all going to protestant schools. She said all she could do her nephew Comdr. Her nephew George Meade promised to obtain as souvenir of his father, but fears that all have been disposed of. With regard to her poor William Montrose Graham who died at the College, she is grateful to God for allowing him to die in his Christian home. Edwards' last letter came while he was in New York working up the "Christian Press Association". He is glad Edwards liked to get the manuscripts. The Catholio University will get some but Edwards will get the best. He has more then 100 letters from bishops from all over the world, some from Newman, some signed by Cardinal Simeoni. He is glad Edwards was pleased with his trip to Frankfort and he assures him that he is always welcome. He is glad to learn that John has gotten down to work. He is sorry that Louis concluded not to return to school; his objection was that he could not go to Brownson Hall.

He is going to school taking private studies and is kept busy. He has not been in Louisville since he has been home but would like to go down to see Mike Powers and Billy Fehr. He has seen Flemming twice; he pitched one game and played 3rd the other for Lexington.

He was surprised to hear that Edwards did not write to Amelia Weitzel. He did not think Edwards would be surprised at seeing John come in the college without him. He is sorry to hear that Prof. Newton A. Preston was about to die. He asks to be remembered to the finest people he met at Notre Dame, Preston, Francis E. Herring and Lottie Collins.

He was glad to learn that the reason why he had not heard from Edwards for so long a time was because Edwards did not received the letter he wrote in January. He sees that N.D.U. is rather "warm" in athletics this year. Their high school defeated Frankfort Business College in April. As his eyes have been bad he kept putting off answering Edwards' letter. He sees that Notre Dame University is sending her colors nearer and nearer the front every day by her athletes. John received a place as clerk in the big whiskey combine. Louis wants to graduate at the Frankfort High School next year and he has some work to make up, so he cannot attend the commencement.
