Canedo, Margarita J., Goshen, Indiana, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1880 January 22
Miss Canedo hopes that Mother Angela explained the reason of delay in sending the translations. She sends a penciled copy of the sketch of Father de Noue's labors and death in the missions of New France, North America. It is the hardest translation Miss Canedo has ever done as the French of 250 years ago used obsolete words. At first she was going to give up but asked Our Lady to aid her in writing of a saint and a martyr. :: X-2-f A.L.S. 4 pp. 8vo

Canedo, Margarita J., Goshen, Indiana, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1880 January 29
Miss Canedo asks Hudson to send her by next mail whatever her translation is worth. She is very poor and works late at night as Mother Angela knows. Mother Angela made her promise not to write at night, but being so short of money she wrote telling Mother Angela that she must free herself of that promise. Hudson would understand if he knew her life and struggle. :: X-2-f A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo.
Canedo, Margarita J., Goshen, Indiana, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1880 February 2
Canedo, Margarita J., Goshen, Indiana, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C ., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1880 February 17
A sudden attack of illness prevented her from acknowledging the receipt of the money. She asks Hudson to excuse the writing of the last manuscript as she was seized with the chill that ushered in her illness. The memoir of Father Masse is nearly finished. It is perhaps not as interesting as others because he was not a martyr. The next memoir, of Father Jogues, is a terrible picture and it is a torture to read or write it. :: X-2-f A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo.
Canedo, Margarite, Goshen, Indiana, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1875 November 31 sic
She asks that the Ave Maria be sent to her at Goshen instead of St. Mary's. She is ashamed to trouble Hudson again, but circumstances have forced her to leave St. Mary's, and she must stay in Goshen all winter. If Hudson would like any articles for the Children's Department similar to those she formerly contributed, she will be glad to write them on the same terms as before. :: X-2-d A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo.
