Richardson, Marion Muir, Morrison, Colorado, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1885 January 4
Muir presumes Hudson has heard what makes him dislike to write to her from a person whom she despises. It is impossible to marry in the Church; if a Catholic is moral he thinks himself too good for anybody. In Christian Reid Hudson has secured a prize. Muir, if she marries, will have to live near a Mormon settlement, where the most hostile feeling exists between the white and the foreign element. Joseph A. Lyons ' Annual is very good. :: X-2-o A.L.S. 4pp. 16mo.

Richardson, Marion Muir, Richardson, Utah, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1889 June 20
Richardson thanks Hudson for the Ave Maria and the kind interest. The Salt Lake Tribune has protested vigorously and Muir believes that a priest instead of a minister should have put on the commission studying the Indian problem, it would have made sense. Richardson believes it better to put Indians where whites are strong than in a lonely place, if they are under proper management. :: X-3-j A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo.
Richardson, Marion Muir, Richardson, Utah, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1890 January 6
Richardson has an inside view of the Mormon question. A handful of settlers have done what the United States government has not done; kept down polygamy. They can do so no more unless the Federal Government ceases to favor Mormonism. The present head of the Mormon Church is Lorenzo Snow. Polygamy, Richardson wrote to the State Department, embodies every crime against the home and motherhood. The President must realize quickly that something must be done. :: X-3-k A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
