Colonel and Mrs. Elmer Otis and family are well. They have made Gordon's visit at the Army post delightful. His object in writing is to get back in school again if Edwards can help him. Father Morrissey wrote that all the places were filled. The only thing he cares to study is the organ and piano. He is willing to work at anything. Besides teaching the mandolin he can teach violin or piano. He asks that Edwards use his influence in getting him back.

If Seton feels the lettering beneath the picture is too prominent, he should not hesitate to have it covered. The Queen Mary picture has been finished and the original will be restored to Seton by Tiffany and Company. Gordon's brother will write Seton to thank him.

He has perhaps already received the photograph of Laval. Her little Irene is very well reproduced in the portrait which she sends. She is very intelligent. Business is poor in Laval. His poor niece is very unhappy. If she did not have Irene she would return to Bronlette. Oh, how she would like to see her uncle! Her poor mother with whom she lives now would be happy to receive him.
