The Leopoldine Association has assigned to Lefevere 2000 florins payable in English pounds sterling through Joseph Edelmann of London. Lefevere will soon receive the first and second drafts. Of this sum 600 florins goes to Father Frederick Baraga of L'Anse, Michigan and 32 florins to Father Andrew Viszoczky of Detroit. He asked in vain for accounts of the reception of this money from the Association but has received none.
