Hudson's letter received. Tears came to her eyes to think of the altar covered with paper. Miss Mann told Hudson, "if I receive some money due me, and has been due for years, I would send some to Ireland." The sketch as appearing in the AVE MARIA is pleasing to Mrs. Mannix. Mrs. Mannix received the picture of Sister Rosalie five minutes after her baby girl was born. Hence, she named her Alice Rosalie Mary. She did not write because all the children had the measles, and her hands were full. Christmas was merry and gay in spite of everything. She inquiries about the cost of Publishing a volume of verses by the Notre Dame Press, and thanks Hudson for the copy of "Household library of Catholic Poets". Mannix thinks it odd when she sees Nugent Robinson 's articles in the Ave Maria. She comments on a number of the articles that appeared in the Ave Maria. She wonders if she will ever see Archbishop Thomas Croke 's of Cashel reply to the deputation from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Mannix found no errors in the proof. She also writes children's stories. Hudson is in error, since her stories do not appear in the Catholic World.
