He is certainly enjoying his vacation. He may not be at Notre Dame next year as Father Morrissey again refused him a room. Morrissey promised his a room as soon as he is a thorough Freshman but there are other boys in Sorin who are not as high in classes as he is who have rooms. But he wouldn't use this as an argument as it might ruin the other boys' happiness.

He has been having such a good time that he didn't write to anyone. He inquires about Brother Emanuel. Grace writes that she is visiting her aunt in Odell. Two weeks ago he was in Lancaster and called on Brother Leopold (C.S.C.) who says he is enjoying his vacation. He met a priest the other day who was a friend of Dr. O'Malley's while in the seminary.

His brother intends to enter Notre Dame next week and he wants Edwards to make him feel at home, to introduce him to nice fellows, to see that he is placed in his proper class, and to occasionally speak to him about his future profession. He is trying to plant the cross firmly in the institution by the present senate.
