She is in the Medical Division of the Pension Office and in a large room full of doctors who smoke all the time until she is almost dead from want of pure air. She has a bas-relief of Archbishop John Baptist Prucell which she is anxious to sell. Her father, C. E. Nourse, oldest banker in Cincinnati at the time of his death, and her mother were Purcell's first converts. the bas-relief was given to them by Sister Anthony of the Good Samaritan Hospital.
