 Item — Box: CEDW 3, Folder: 02
Identifier: CEDW XI-1-e

Scope and Contents

He asks if Luigi Gregori resides in America at present. He has a fine old painting, A Crucifixion, that has been pronounced to ba a genuine VanDyke. He would like to submit to Gregori to determine its value and whether it is genuine. He asks if his confessor Father Alexis Granger, C.S.C. when he was a student at Notre Dame in '53 and '54 is still living. P.S. He read of some allusion to a "Museum"; if it would be considered worth while he could send a Thomas A. Kempis, latin, dated 1617; an Indian prayer book and several autographs of American Bishops. Note: Found among James F. Edwards' papers :: XI-1-e A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo.
