Meline, Mary M. Mt.St. Mary's College,, Emmittsburg, Md., to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1887 February 22
Scope and Contents
She asked Dr. Father Charles P. Grannan about the Almanacs, but no care has been taken of such things at the Mountain. There is no order or cataloging of the library. Affairs are in a bad way. Sympathizing with the rebels in the civil war and liquor have been the cause of all the anguish. Things will be better in the future under Father Edward Allen. She asks if she could get a sketch of St. Mary's Mount printed in the Ave Maria. Although she gets her board and room, she needs money for necessities. :: XI-1-e A.L.S. 3pp. 12mo.
