Brent, Emily C., Washington, D. C., to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1887 March 3
Scope and Contents
Edwards does not know how proud she is to have such a kind friend as he is. His letter gave her pleasure when exhausted from examining pension papers. In her office life she has nothing to complain of except the confinement. She longs for a home of her own. She encloses a letter from her sister, Mrs. R.S. Chilton; it expresses her opinion about her Emily's picture. She has some relics she would like to show Edwards when he comes to Washington.
