Konings had intended to go to New York at Christmas time and express personally his gratitude to McMaster for his kind words about his Moral Theology, but as his trip has been delayed, he will not defer the fulfillment of his obligation. The Catholic World has been deceived in regard to Rohling's "Moral Theology". In passing by New York he will communicate to McMaster some remarks that may serve for an article. :: I-2-a A.L.S. If McMaster is free the next Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday he should let Konings know as he intends to leave Baltimore Wednesday evening. Koopmans is informed of a more or less disagreeable correspondence between Lefevere and Bishop George Aloysius Carrell in reference to Koopmans' coming to Detroit. He expresses sorrow for being the occasion of trouble to Lefevere, especially after Koopmans' short but agreeable stay in Lefevere's diocese. He has all the property deeds which he will present to Lefevere. The glad tidings of Purcell's anticipated visit to St. Martin's reached her and her heart is filled with deep emotion at the thought of being so soon numbered with the mourning spouses of the Crucified. Purcell need not trouble himself with informing her brother Carter as she has just written to him. Bishop Krautbauer was found dead in his bed in Green Bay, Wisconsin, yesterday morning. The cause of death was apoplexy; A short sketch of his life. Dennis E. McCarthy, proprietor of the Virginia, Nevada, Chronicle died on Wednesday night. Father Augustus J.
