Though the kindness of the A.C. Bartletts, Barrows will give a reception to foreign delegates to the Parliament of Religion. He asks Onahan's aid in making this as Catholic as possible by giving him the names of foreign delegates to the (Columbian) Catholic Congress and other representative Catholics, especially Cardinal Gibbons. Onahan is asked to communicate with the Cardinal. Barrows has received the tickets but will be able to attend the Congress but rarely.

Onahan is asked to send a photo of Archbishop Feehan, Cardinal Gibbons, Archbishop Ryan, and himself, since Barrows is making a collection of prominent men in the religious congresses, probably to be used in the "Review of Reviews." Mr. Stead has promised to do his best to aid. Barrows hopes Onahan will attend the next meeting of the General Committee. He wishes that he had a Catholic Year Book, giving the addresses of Catholic Bishops. He thanks Onahan for his address.

Having undertaken, principally at the suggestion of Bishop Kenrick of St. Louis, to write a work on Sacred Embryology, Barry sends Blanc a copy of his essay. He hopes it will be useful in preserving their fellow beings from the harmful effects of irreligious theories. Scope and Contents Barry received Blanc's letter of the 24th. The lady of whom Blanc inquires is a good Cathollic, a convert and native of England. She had been a member of Barry's congregation for several years and on her departure for Mississippi he wrote a letter of introduction to Blanc. This is no doubt the letter to which Mrs. Marsh alludes. Scully bought land from E.R. Luke, a hay and grain merchant who at the time of the destruction of the convent was employed in a store at East Cambridge where he heard frequent mutterings about the burning of the convent and on the day itself open jokes about going to the fire. As Konig was an evil influence, Barry made Hemsteger keep away from him. He gives a detailed account of the charges against the two.
