A decree has been passed that anyone getting a dispensation from a religious order must remain in some house of his order until he gets a bishop. Scope and Contents Father Kelly has found that their Church has a heavy debt and needs repairs. He has devised a plan which is set forth in the enclosed circular to raise funds. They are advertising in street cars and papers. Mrs. Mohun would like to have the Ave Maria publish an advertisement to get aid to pay all the debts and make all necessary repairs on the church. Since Dorsey's application is dated February 14, she has been advised to get another letter of recommendation from Hudson. Scope and Contents Does Hudson think Father Edward Sorin would endorse this paper because Dorsey Mohun is the grandson of Mrs. Anna Hanson Dorsey . Mohun would be grateful to Sorin if he endorsed. President Rutherford Hayes is interested and will present the paper when it is ready to his excellency. Mohun thinks her mother's long service to the Irish and Catholics ought to make her son welcome in Belfast. Hudson is asked not to speak of this to Mrs. Dorsey or Nellie for Mohun wishes to surprise them....

Gethsemani Boarding School last year and when he left in June it was understood that he was to go back, but later received a letter informing him that he was not required. He never saw such ignorance among teachers and did not hesitate to say so. He wrote Mgr. Francis Satolli about getting back to Notre Dame, and although Satolli made inquires about him, he never answered him. He could have been back long ago but for one man, Father William Corby, C.S.C....
