The last he heard Edwards was in Europe. He supposes Edwards has returned. He expects to spend a day at old Notre Dame on his vacation which starts next week. He wrote Notre Dame University about some prices on pipe and fittings and also about an ice machine but received no answer. He will write again. He spent yesterday in Cincinnati with several of his lady friends. Business is pretty good but not flourishing as it should be.

Father William Moloney, C.S.C. is at Kings; he came last week and is looking well; he is having a good time and is still as jolly and cheerful as ever. The State Democratic Convention is being held in Dayton. He is going to attend a hay ride this evening. A shoe factory was burned to the ground last evening. 4000 soles were lost.

The grippe is very bad there and in nearly every family some one is sick. He does now know how his standing is for returning to Notre Dame. He supposes he will remain at home. His father and mother do not know that he was suspended.

Edwards' received after a long day of collecting which is a hard job, but getting the money is much harder. He thanks Edwards for his kindness in seeking to have his suspension withdrawn. As he is contemplating a trip north to visit Notre Dame and his lady friend near by, he thought he would drop Edward a note so that he might see him and have a chat at dear old Notre Dame.
