Stoddard thanks Hudson for the package. The Atlantic is correct, Molokai has a musk odor, but Stoddard likes it better than the rank odor of the Pilot's reply to Baily Aldrich . Mrs. Robert Louis Stevenson sent Stoddard a clipping from the London "Academy" in which inquires are made about Father Damien Joseph De Veuster, SS.CC. Stoddard will send the "S S" papers but they need revising. He sends a clipping concerning Molokai. Hudson can see how that letter was manufactured, Stoddard requests copies of "Lepers of Molokai" be sent to the people on the list that he encloses. Scope and Contents Stoddard thinks Schicky unreliable and he asks Hudson to pay the bill and charge it to his account. The boys spoke about the settlement, but thanks to the bullheadedness of Father Thomas Walsh, C.S.C., it turned out as it did. This is one of the memories for which Stoddard has to thank him. His health has been thoroughly shaken.
