While in Rome, Stoddard's friend Bishop Francis Silas Chatard introduced him to members of the Society and he received a copy of Odes and Addresses which was issued from the Propaganda. Last evening Stoddard met Father Leonore, Wailuku, who said he had received the copies of the Ave Maria. The Coronation of King Kalakaua took place this morning; it was highly primitive and comically pompous. :: X-2-k A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
