He received Hudson's letter which, to say the least, startled him. He sends the pages of the story he has already written and gives Hudson a short summary of the remaining thirty-eight pages which are equivalent to fifteen pages in the Ave Maria. At Hudson's command he will delete, abridge, or change the story but he is doubtful because of the complexity of the plot whether this would be very successful. :: X-2-d A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
