King requests the January, 1882 number of the Ave Maria, in which her tale "Rose Gray" appeared. Enclosed is a poem for the Youth Department. If Hudson cannot send her the back number he should let her know in his personal next month. Henry Garland who had an article in the Ave Maria in 1882, is a cousin of King's. She would like to make use of one of Hudson's sketches in the Ave Maria. The enclosed poem, "The Narrow Path" is for Hudson's personal use. :: X-2-k A.L.S. 7pp. 16mo.

Enclosure: 1889 Sep. 27 Owing to action of the last Legislature, The Railway Association of Michigan, Passenger Department has been compelled to change its rule in reference to rate reductions for conventions, and after Oct. 1, no reductions will be granted. She has sent some needlework for the Centennial, but cannot seem to get others who can do better work. The Sisters in St. Louis may have some letters. Sister M. Agnes Brent was a niece of Archbishop Leonard Neale .
