They expect to leave New York for Baltimore on the preceding Tuesday and will be at the 5th Ave. Hotel on Monday. They will be at the Mount Vernon Hotel. Kernan delayed answer endeavoring to get some information on the number of delegates likely to attend the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Very few responses have been given to the circular. It might be necessary to issue another. Richard C. Gannon announced that he had already secured a hall for the meeting of the convention. He awaits Onahan's and Kernan's advice, especially as to the number of those attending.

Kernan sends a copy of his paper on the Society of St. Vincent de Paul confined mainly to its history. Part of it is a copy of a paper written in 1886 by one of the Society Secretaries. The paper is long, therefore, he asks that its length be permitted. His own part is imperfect due to absence of some statistics. He shall take a week's vacation.
