O'Meara delayed writing to Hudson until she finished writing the biography of the Cure d' Ars, which she sends to Hudson. A friend startled her by remarking that Monsignor de Segur told him that the Cure d' Ars, St. John Baptist Vianney, could never be canonized because he had uttered some heretical doctrine.
