Three weeks ago Hattie Lyng Griswold in her letter to the Tribune charged an unnamed Catholic priest and the priesthood in general with extortion. McGovern wrote the Tribune demanding that Griswold should give written proof of her charge. She replied by apologizing and in her answer to his letter of remission of transgression she sent him the enclosed gem on St. Angela, which he sends Hudson for publication in the Ave Maria. :: X-3-d A.L.S. 1p. 4to.
