He writes this in a hurry before he leaves. Hudson may do as he pleases with the story. Father Matthew Russell, S.J. ? wrote him that his collection will only include personal poems and a few from friends. Therefore his commission is played out. He has a notion to present Russell a copy of Father Edmund Hill's poems so that he cannot fail to find the true ideal religious poet. He is now back at work after ten week's absence.
