Freitag writes McMaster, thanking him for his sympathy with Mrs. Ryan in the death of her husband Captain Ryan . He has lost a good friend in the Captain and so have the naval cadets and young officers. The Church has lost a most able member. Freitag hopes that Our Dear Lord and His Blessed Mother will graciously hear their prayers and spare the boy. He inquires as to the health of the girls and Mrs. McMaster.
