Ball is not now going to Rome in the interest of the cause of the Cure of Ars St. John Baptist Vianney . A sickness has forced him to postpone his trip until May. Ball received Hudson's check for 1025 francs through Eugene Kelly and Company, New York. He would not have had enough funds for his trip to Rome without Hudson's help. McFarland is asked to give the ordinations on July 16, 17, 18. He understands that the Bishops of the country have the necessary permissions. Bapst is happy to say that the difficulty can e removed easily because of the privilege the Jesuits enjoyed before their suppression, restored by Pope Leo XII, on July 11, 1826. As to the days of ordination Archbishop Francis Patrick Kenrick says they are at the will of the bishop. He then asks that the days for the ordinations be July 16, 17, 18.
