Stoddard, Charles Warren, Covington, Kentucky, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1888 March 25

 Item — Box: CHUD 11
Identifier: CHUD X-3-g

Scope and Contents

It will be nice to have "Student Life" in the monthly part. Stoddard is glad Hudson liked "Glimpses". Rene Papin is a jewel. Stoddard wishes the little clock might come to him. He prizes it the more because of his association with Hudson. What hours he lived through listening to it, his heart ready to break for fear he might hear a scream from the dormitory where Tom lay. Not for worlds would he undergo again the miserable anxiety of his last year at Notre Dame. Is Brother Benignus back again? Stoddard can feel anyone hate him; Notre Dame is steeped in this atmosphere and for this reason he fled. There is not room enough in one hemisphere for Father Martin Regan, C.S.C., Brother Lawrence, C.S.C., James F. Edwards, Father Thomas E. Walsh, C.S.C. and Stoddard. :: X-3-g A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
