Tiernan Frances C. Fisher, Salisbury, North Carolina, to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C., Notre Dame, Indiana, 1887 August 5
Scope and Contents
Hudson's latest letter was a disappointment to Tiernan because she preferred that the books be published at Notre Dame. Tiernan has written P.J. Kennedy and if he will not give Tiernan, her moderate price she will leave the book unpublished and be compelled to hereafter abjure any distinctively Catholic writing. She rears that "Fairy Gold" is the last story of any length she can write for the Ave Maria. The volume "Tales For Eventide", which Hudson sent her make her regret that her stories cannot be issued from a press which does such charming work as that of Notre Dame. :: X-3-e A.L.S. 4pp. 12mo.
