Adam wishes Hudson a Happy New Year and thanks him for the Life of Haydn. He is trying to translate from the Spanish the life of Father Junipero Serra. If it is published he will forward a copy to Hudson. On August 28th, the centennial of Serra's death will be celebrated and Father Angel Casanova is making efforts to save the ruins of Carmel. After finishing the life of Serra, Adam plans to write a work on the Blessed Virgin, in Spanish.
