They were truly sorry to hear of the death of Edwards' Mother. Father Andrew Morrissey said that was what detained Edwards in Toledo. Time and religion are the things that can heal the wound of the loss of one so dear. Mrs. Nevius died a month ago in Ireland. Tom Nevius brought the Marshall children over to this country and they are all at Orange. :: XI-2-k A.L.S. 4pp.

Edwards does not know how they all missed his not coming for New Years. They have had quite a little sickness this winter with the children. She had a very close call last August but recovered. He finally succeeded in obtaining the mitre of Bishop Frederick Baraga of Marquette from Bishop John Vertin . Mrs. Nester will deliver it in person to Edwards.
