If he had not been completely occupied with six slaves condemned to death, he would have replied to Odin's letter of the 10th sooner. The execution took place yesterday. Never in a similar situation has he seen such calmness and Christian resignation. One might say that the deaths were of those who ought to have been precious in the lives of God.
