Father Freitag thanks McMaster for the letter and package, and asks to be remembered in the prayers of McMaster's family. Father Freitag will remember McMaster in Mass on Thursday morning. He advises McMaster to bear up under the persecution that may result from his fearlessness, and recommends to him the words of Thomas A. Kempis. Scope and Contents Some one named J. Valsin ? who told Frenaye he was born in France of a Spanish father said he had preached in French in New Orleans. He said he was ordained by the bishop of St. Louis. While it is possible that this may be true it is Frenaye's duty to tell Blanc he is an imposter. Frenaye received Blanc's letter in reply to his about the Bouquet children; he sends his thanks and those of their uncle. A copy of Blanc's letter was sent to the mother in Marseilles. Her brother-in-law pointed out that she should come. On Bishop Joseph Rosati' s order, Frenaye sends an interesting notice about the missions; also one for Bishop Chanche and for Bishop Odin Audin.
