He can't begin to tell how sorry he is that he missed the trip with Edwards last summer. Edwards' letter never reached him till the day he sailed. He is in Kankakee and is rushed to death with work. His first experience in a boarding house is one which the fellows say will spoil him for all such places in the future. He has the best things to eat.
