Recently a man crazed with drink entered Lambing's church during Sunday vespers weilding a knife. After the devotions were over he wanted to see Lambing, but Lambing was warned in time to escape. The regretable delay in obtaining the approbation of John Tuigg, Bishop of Pittsburgh for his pamphlet was due to the fact that the bishop is now extremely busy with diocesan duties. Wanting to make a few minor changes in manuscript he asks for other proof sheets to examine. There is no reliable word of Bishop John Tuigg 's return although it was reported he would leave Rome on January 6th. The decree of the Council of Trent and the Ruler of the Index requires that a book treating de rebus pacis should have the approbation of the Ordinary of the place in which it is published. Lambing submits an article. He proposes to take seventy-five copies of the 1000 pamphlets he wrote because he knew Hudson did not have the same facilities for publishing it as other publishers he has consulted.
