This document is a copy of the military history of Lieutenant-Colonel Paul S. Edwards of the 14th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry. The regiment was organized at Toledo in 1861. The Superior has said that he would not allow Edwards to leave without the permission of the Archbishop or Rousselon. The reason is the yellow fever in the city. But that is no reason for Edwards and M.Lyons as they would be in the city only 6 hours or a day. They want to get their diplomas from the Jesuits at Mobile. Too busy himself, the President has advised them to let him know how much time will the Bishop permit them to stay here. They are in good health.
