The Scholastic's remarks about his sketches in the "Guardian Angel" not being the things for children are quite right, and he profits by their kind criticism. He has not enough courage to gather anything for Notre Dame but wonders if it would be of any use to bring out a small volume of his religious poems for the benefit of the college. Egan has reason to dislike the prominence given to the minims at Notre Dame, perhaps Father Walsh told Hudson of the trouble Egan had in placing a man with a Notre Dame diploma because of the minims.
