At Keegan's suggestion, Lawrence Kehoe of the Catholic Publishing Society ordered some copies, but he anticipated poor patronage. Keegan knows little of Bacon's labors. Bishop James A. Healy of Portland invited Keegan to speak on the anniversary of Bacon's death.
