Brownson does not know yet whether he shall introduce the bill into the Senate at the commencement of the session or wait for the decision of the House. Scope and Contents The engraver works from prints with negatives, so Brownson had the prints made. On examination, he finds they are nearly all poor photographs, some sharp enough about the head but indistinct in parts, so that he cannot make good pictures of them. The frame is omitted on one side of some, which would make it necessary to cut off the other sides. They also are bad in size. Brownson asks if the photographers guarantee satisfaction; if so, they might do better. He regrets making so much trouble...

Captain Edwards Patrick Brownson carried this revolver during the Civil War. Originally an aide-de-camp to Gen. John C. Fremont, he joined the army of the Potomac and was serving on Gen. W.S. Hancock's staff when mortally wounded at Ream's Station, Aug. 24, 1864. He died in the 21st year of his life.

He is sorry Edwards didn't find time to call when last in Detroit. His son who wrote Edwards was at St. Anne's College, Church point N. S.
