Father Matthew Russell, S.J. ? wrote him that his collection will only include personal poems and a few from friends. Therefore his commission is played out. If the terms Printed on the reverse side appeared monthly and in English pounds as well as dollars and cents, and if Gill received extra copies each month, the "Ave Maria" would make greater progress in Ireland.
