 Item — Box: CHUD 15
Identifier: CHUD X-3-l

Scope and Contents

Harper registered a copy of a manuscript about the life and work of Father Joseph Damien DeVeuster, SS.CC.. The original was written by Ira B. Brother Joseph Dutton. If Hudson approves she would ask that W. P. Lyon of Madison, Wisconsin read it and also that Hudson show it to Dr. John B. Berteling. The copy for the Picpus Fathers is not to be sent to them until Harper receives orders from Molokai. It was to Father Francis X. Dutton that Harper registered the copy. Amy C. Fowler is entirely out of the leprosy business, has cast aside her Dominican costumes and resumed her own name. The Board of Health called Mother Marianne O.S.F. to Honolulu to confer with her on the Kalihi Station. Harper encloses $5 for masses for her brother William Harper. The enclosed letter need not be returned. No enclosure :: X-3-l A.L.S. 4pp. 16mo.
